SELECT-SEYCHELLES, presently one of the leading Inbound Tour Operators and Destination Management Companies (DMC) in the Seychelles, was born in March 2007 with a brand promise to deliver a ‘distinctive…attentive…dedicated  high-quality level of service. A promise which has today earned us the reputation of being one of the Seychelles destination’s specialists, all attributed to the devotion and passion of each staff member who understands the need to offer world class destination management and tour operating services in one of the world’s most idyllic paradise islands, The Seychelles.

Founded by Mr. Freddy Karkaria, the company’s Managing Director, his vision was “to create a Seychelles inbound tour operator and DMC with a difference…focused on hiring customer-focused professional team members, quality service delivery and not aiming at quantity and large volumes.” He was initially supported by nine key professionals with extensive experience in the Seychelles tourism industry, all sharing the same passion: that of ‘delighting the customer’ & offering ‘quality service.’ The company began operations in July 2007 in two small offices in The Docklands Building, located just a minute drive from the town centre.

Today, based in that same building, but occupying a suite of open-plan offices, SELECT-SEYCHELLES is a fully-fledged DMC with a devoted, multi-lingual, innovative young team of some 40 staff members spread out over Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. The company is equipped with a modern fleet of vehicles including 30-seater Nissan Civilian, 15-seater Nissan Urvan, Hyundai 5-seater luxury MPV, Hyundai Santa Fe luxury SUV and Hyndai Sonata luxury sedan. For those looking for optimal luxury comfort, we also offer the option of a BMW Series 5 and X-5. The company has also invested in a modern tour operation, reservations and management system to compliment its capabilities to deliver an extensive array of DMC services.

SELECT-SEYCHELLES made its international debut at the 2007 World Travel Market (WTM). It was during that same trade fair that the company was officially launched and signed on its very first tour operator, Papangue Tours from La Reunion. A month later, it welcomed its very first clients with MD Karkaria - yet another important step on the journey of becoming who we are today: a company that has created a name for itself over four years and built a solid database of travel operators with whom we have developed and continue to maintain strong business relationships. From the signing of one of the leading tour operators in Switzerland- Soleytours (a brand of Hotelplan Suisse) right through to the strengthening of our presence on the South African market by winning a leading major tour operator, Thompson’s Holidays, SELECT-SEYCHELLES’ presence in other parts of the world has continuously intensified. With the aim of diversifying the market, we have introduced selective, niche, high-end operators and presently work with several small to medium volume tour operators from all over Europe, South America, South Africa, the Middle East, USA, Asia and even as far as Australia.

Some of these travel operators, such as Alke Viaggi – Italy and Unusual Destinations as well as And Beyond of South Africa were already known in the Seychelles but, by winning them over, they have contributed significantly to making us known on the international scene. Others like Let’s Travel-Switzerland and Anastasia’s Africa-USA were new players who see us as their ‘partner of choice’ in a destination with increasingly great holiday and business potential that Seychelles is today. In Germany our partners LTur and Abendsonne Africa have grown their production of holiday travellers to Seychelles by multiple factors. We expect soon to increase our business from Seychelles’ largest holiday market, France as we respond to a number of requests for bids from there.

Our business in offering great holiday experiences has also grown in the strongly emerging markets of Russia, Ukraine & the CIS as well as the GCC countries of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Lebanon. Today we work with household names such as Sodis in Russia, Al Tayyar Group in Saudi Arabia, Unique Choice in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE, OmeirTravel in UAE to name but a few. We are now turning our marketing efforts towards the giant markets of China, India and the Far East. We have recently partnered with Flight Centre (China) based out of Hong Kong but sales offices covering several major population centres in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

SELECT-SEYCHELLES focuses much attention on the Groups & Incentives business – a segment that is continuously growing and which requires the expertise of a company able to offer ‘diversity’ and an ‘experience’. This is precisely where we come in.

Today, with our extensive knowledge of the destination and the expertise of our professionals in the field, we are well-positioned to deliver exactly that ‘experience and diversity’. We have shown that we have what it takes, to ‘craft’ the perfect ‘experience’ for the most discerning clients through the number of groups & incentives business we have already attracted, primarily from France, Italy, Germany & South Africa. Recently, L’Oréal–Spain, Abbott EMEA President’s Club–all over Europe, Kyocera MITA and Italia Spa chose theSeychellesIslands as their ultimate destination primarily because of our programme. Prior to that, we have handled several small to major groups from:

France: LECLERC – one of the biggest supermarkets in France; Renault, Congrès de Médècin de Plongée, Escale Croisière, Nouvel Découverte, Nettelet Ce Ues Aim & Fuchs.

The prospect for groups & incentives business looks very promising and we are constantly building on our existing strengths & experiences to cater to the demand of that particularly thriving segment.

    I will be visiting Seychelles from January 10-18, 2015. Do you offer excursions and tours during the time of my stay? I would like to find out more about your excursion dates and price for each for 1 person. I will be staying at Dhevatara, Praslin during this time.
